For those of you new to the world of cold-pressed juice, allow us to introduce to you our holy grail: juice cleansing. Juice cleanses are like a vacation for your digestive system. Think of it this way: when you set aside a period of time to solely drink cold-pressed fruit and veggies, you're in turn reducing the amount of stress that your gut experiences on a normal day. During this gut vacation, your digestive system finally has the opportunity to rest and recharge.

HOW TO: CLEANSING 101
Let's get this show on the road, shall we?

To make the most of your cleanse, you should strive to eliminate meat, dairy, starchy foods, caffeine, refined sugars, and alcohol 2-3 days before going "all in." During this pre-cleanse period, fill up on lean protein, raw fruits, veggies, and whole grains. This will help you to transition you into a cleanse without throwing your body for a loop-de-loop.

During the cleanse, we recommend kicking off the day with 8 ounces of lemon water. From there, we number our juices 1 through 6 to help keep you on track. We recommend consuming a juice every 2-3 hours or as you begin to feel hungry. End the day with our personal favorite: one of our dairy free nut milks. Not only are they undeniably delicious, but they happen to be higher in calorie which will keep you full and happy throughout the night. During the cleanse, we recommend consuming at least 8 glasses of water a day.

After you cleanse, pat yourself on the back and do a little happy dance! You've just given your body a gift and have made the first step in allowing yourself to become the best, strongest, healthiest version of your bad self! Now, let's stick to healthy choices and ease back into things. Avoid fast food, packaged products, meat, dairy, and high fat foods which, if consumed too quickly post-cleanse, can cause stomach pain, bloating, indigestion, and/or fatigue.. Remember, your body just got back from the best vacation it's ever had. Let's let it wake up a bit! Ease back in with soups, smoothies, fruits, veggies, plant based protein, and fish. If you'd like to re-incorporate red meat and dairy, you should be good to go after a few days post cleanse.
